Power

Australia uses 220-240 volts, 50 hz current. Visitors from countries that use 110 volts should be careful about using their appliances. Transformers for chargers, phones and laptops are generally able to handle different voltages.

Our power uses type I plugs, and you will need a converter for your electrical gear, unless you are from NZ, China or Argentina. We recommend that you have 2 converters and 1 power board so you can plug in multiple devices, and have one spare to take with you to the meeting.

We have bulk purchased Universal-to-Australia power adapters and will include one in the goodie bag for visitors from countries that have different plugs.

It is also useful to have a USB power bank for your phone. It is pretty annoying to have a flat battery when you want to take photos on your phone.
